This Privacy Policy explains how Geno Insights LLC ("Geno Insights," "we," "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information obtained through genoinsights.com and any related sites that link to this policy (the "Website"). By using the Website, you accept this Privacy Policy. For the purposes of EU/UK data protection law and analogous U.S. and Latin American privacy laws, the data controller is Geno Insights LLC, reachable at hello@genoinsights.com.
We may update this policy at any time by posting the revised version here; changes are effective upon posting and reflected in the "Last Updated" date above.
Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Job applications submitted through our careers form: your name, email, phone number, LinkedIn URL, role of interest, and any additional information you choose to share;
- Correspondence: information you voluntarily send us by email or through professional platforms such as LinkedIn;
- Scheduling: if you book a call through our online scheduling tool, the information you enter there is collected to arrange and manage your meeting and may be processed by the third-party service that powers that tool, subject to its own privacy policy.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Website, we and our service providers may automatically collect technical and usage information, including approximate geographic location, IP address, browser type, device identifiers and characteristics, operating system, referral source, pages viewed, visit duration, clickstream data, and interactions (such as scrolling and clicks). We collect this through Vercel Analytics (cookieless, no cross-site tracking, always active), and — only if you consent on our cookie banner — through Google Analytics 4 and other measurement or advertising technologies deployed via Google Tag Manager (such as conversion pixels or remarketing tags for platforms including Google Ads, Meta, or LinkedIn). We may also use web beacons or similar technologies to measure communications and campaign effectiveness.
Cookies
We use cookies, local storage, pixels, and similar technologies in the following categories: (i) Essential — required for core functionality (such as delivering pages and in-session preferences); always active, and by using the Website you consent to them; (ii) Analytics — measure traffic and usage (e.g., Google Analytics via Google Tag Manager); disabled by default, enabled only if you opt in; (iii) Advertising and remarketing — measure campaign performance, attribute conversions, and show relevant ads on other platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn); disabled by default, enabled only if you opt in to non-essential cookies; and (iv) Social media — when you use social sharing features, those platforms may set their own cookies subject to their policies.
When you first visit, we show a cookie notice. Non-essential cookies are off by default. You may Accept all or Reject non-essential cookies. Our banner uses Google Consent Mode v2 to enforce your choice, and you can change or withdraw consent at any time via Cookie preferences in the footer. Vercel Analytics operates without cookies and does not require consent. We do not sell your personal information. Where applicable law treats sharing data for cross-context behavioral advertising as a "sale" or "share," you may opt out as described in Your Rights below.
You can restrict or delete cookies through your browser settings (some features may stop working), and you can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Because no uniform Do-Not-Track standard exists, we do not currently respond to DNT signals.
Google Tag Manager and Tracking Technologies
We use Google Tag Manager (GTM) as a platform to deploy and manage measurement and marketing technologies on the Website. Depending on your cookie choices, GTM may load analytics tools (currently Google Analytics 4), advertising and conversion tags (such as Google Ads), and social or professional network pixels (such as Meta or LinkedIn). All non-essential tags respect Google Consent Mode and your banner selections — they do not set cookies or collect advertising data unless you have opted in to the relevant category.
If we add or change technologies deployed through GTM in a way that materially affects this Privacy Policy, we will update this policy and, where required by law, seek your consent before any new non-essential cookies or tracking technologies are activated.
Advertising, Remarketing, and Conversion Tracking
If you consent to advertising cookies, we and our partners may use pixels, cookies, and similar technologies to: measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns; attribute conversions (such as when you book a call or submit a form); build audience segments; and show you relevant ads on other websites and platforms (remarketing). These technologies may collect identifiers, device information, pages visited, and actions taken on our Website. Partners may include Google (Google Ads, Google Analytics), Meta (Facebook/Instagram), and LinkedIn. Each partner processes data under its own privacy policy.
You can withdraw advertising consent at any time via Cookie preferences in the footer. You may also use platform-specific controls: Google Ads Settings (https://adssettings.google.com), Meta Ad Preferences (https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads), and LinkedIn ad settings (https://www.linkedin.com/psettings/guest-controls/retargeting-opt-out). Opting out of advertising cookies on our Website does not opt you out of all advertising on the internet.
Do Not Track
Most browsers offer a Do-Not-Track (DNT) setting. No uniform standard for recognizing DNT signals has been finalized, and we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals. If a standard is adopted and we are required to comply, we will update this policy accordingly.
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiries and requests about our services;
- Evaluate job applications and communicate about career opportunities;
- Operate, secure, and improve the Website;
- Understand how visitors use the Website and measure the effectiveness of our communications and marketing (where you have consented);
- Deliver and measure advertising and remarketing campaigns (where you have consented);
- Send administrative communications and, where permitted, information you have requested;
- Enforce our Terms and Conditions, prevent fraud and misuse, and comply with legal obligations.
Where required by law (e.g., GDPR), we process personal data only on a valid legal basis: your consent, steps taken at your request (such as responding to an inquiry or processing an application), compliance with legal obligations, or our legitimate interests where not overridden by your rights.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only with: (i) service providers acting on our behalf — website hosting (Vercel), analytics providers (Google, Vercel), advertising and measurement partners (such as Google, Meta, or LinkedIn, when you have consented to advertising cookies), and productivity tools (such as Google Workspace) — bound by confidentiality and security obligations; (ii) authorities or other parties where required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the Website; (iii) a successor entity in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to equivalent protections; or (iv) otherwise with your consent. We may share aggregated or anonymized information that does not identify you. Where applicable law (such as the California Consumer Privacy Act) treats sharing personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as a "sale" or "share," you may opt out as described in Your Rights.
Data Retention and Security
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above or as required by law. Careers submissions are kept for the duration of the recruitment process and a reasonable period afterwards unless you ask us to delete them sooner. We protect personal information with administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (including HTTPS encryption and access controls); however, no internet transmission or storage method is completely secure, and you acknowledge those inherent risks when using the Website.
Your Rights
Depending on your residence and applicable law (including GDPR, U.S. state privacy laws such as the CCPA/CPRA, and Argentina's Personal Data Protection Law No. 25.326), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information; to data portability; to withdraw consent at any time (including via Cookie preferences); not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights; and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. California residents may have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising — contact us at hello@genoinsights.com or use Cookie preferences to withdraw advertising consent. To exercise any rights, contact us at hello@genoinsights.com. We may verify your identity before responding and will reply within the timeframes required by applicable law.
International Transfers
The Website is operated from the United States, and information you provide will be transferred to, stored, and processed there (or in other jurisdictions where our service providers are located), which may have different privacy laws than your country. Where required by law, we implement appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
Children and Third-Party Sites
The Website is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information; if you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it. The Website may link to third-party sites (such as LinkedIn) that have their own privacy practices, which we do not control and are not responsible for.
Governing Law and Contact
For questions, concerns, to exercise your privacy rights, or to request an alternative-format copy of this policy, contact us at hello@genoinsights.com. This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without limiting any non-waivable rights you have under the mandatory data protection laws of your place of residence.
